 Ruben Caban seeks to offer something different and unique to his fans by creating original compositions that are a fusion of Latin jazz, hard-bop and funk into a sound he can proudly call his own.The project Shafted by Ruben Caban is a musical voyage of discovery of a Jazz trombonist growing up listening to a variety of musicians and genres that have played an influential role in shaping his signature sound. His ensembles are adjusted to fit the venues and the  style which the audience demands. From a fiery Latin Jazz  Septet or sextet to a sophisticated Quintet and  an intimate quartet his music is meant to touch the hearts and minds of the listener and even encourage some dance moves by the more rhythmic infused numbers. For more information please get in touch.
